Our Service Units

The Director, who is the top executive of the Directorate, is responsible for the general management and representation of the Directorate. The Director organizes and carries out the Directorate services in accordance with the legislative provisions, the Directorate's objectives and policies, the strategy plan and the opinions and recommendations of the Coordination Board. For this purpose, it gives the necessary orders to the Directorate units and supervises and ensures their implementation. The Director is responsible to the Minister for the execution of these services. The Deputy Director acts as the Director in cases of leave, illness, domestic and international assignment, other situations when he is not on duty, and in cases of dismissal.

Duties of the Area Planning and Project Group Directorate:

a) To carry out the works and transactions related to the historical area plans, to prepare research, project and action plans for the protection and development of the Historical Area and to determine and monitor their implementation principles.
b) To determine and monitor the rules regarding the preparation and approval of risk management and avoidance plans, to carry out geological and geotechnical studies based on the plan, to have them carried out and to submit them to the Director for approval.
c) To carry out works and operations related to the application of developed techniques and private afforestation in agriculture and animal husbandry in privately owned agricultural areas outside the first degree archaeological site within the Historical Area.
d) To perform similar duties assigned by the Director

Duties of the Restoration and Construction Works Group Directorate:

a) To carry out works and transactions related to investment projects for construction, restoration, conservation, reconstruction, restitution and renovation to be carried out according to historical area plans.
b) To perform similar duties assigned by the Director

Duties of the Area Management and Promotion Group Directorate:

a) To carry out the works and transactions regarding the management of the Historical Area
b) To produce all kinds of visual and audio works for the promotion of the Historical Area, to have them made and to put them into service.
c) To perform similar duties assigned by the Director

Duties of the Personnel and Support Services Group Directorate:

a) To carry out the training and personnel procedures of the Directorate personnel
b) Carrying out budget and financial affairs and transactions
c) To carry out all work and transactions related to construction, maintenance, repair, purchase, rental, transportation, security, lighting, heating, document management, fixtures, archives, storage and health expenses related to the activities of the Directorate.
d) To perform similar duties assigned by the Director

Duties of Legal Consultancy:

a) To take timely legal measures to protect the interests of the Directorate and prevent disputes, to assist in the conclusion of agreements and contracts in accordance with these principles, to prepare the necessary information and documents in judicial and administrative cases, to represent the Directorate in judicial and administrative cases in which it is a party and to follow up on the cases.
