Arıburnu is located on the north end of Anzac Cove where boats of Australians first landed on April 25. The small hill inside the road was called Arıburnu Hillock by the British. The cemetery was built in an unsafe location where Turkish watchmen dominated during the battles. The cemetery can be entered through the main coast way. The cemetery’s area of 1,270 m² is surrounded by six walls and slopes slightly toward the sea. At the cemetery, 151 Australian, 35 New Zealand, 27 British, 3 Indian, 1 Maltese and 37 unknown soldiers are interred. The cemetery also includes 5 special memorials.
