Kılıçbayırı Martyrs Memorial is located just behind the Turkish front line on the ridge extending from Bomba Ridge to Chunuk Bair on the Arıburnu Front. In the cemetery, there are the names of our martyrs who can be identified from our regiments who served in this zone during the Land Battles. Bloody clashes took place on the Arıburnu Front from 25 April 1915, when the Land Battles began, until 20 December 1915, when the front was evacuated. Our heroic army carried out attacks on April 27, May 1 and May 19 in order to drive the Allied troops, that landed in this zone, into the sea. Our soldiers from the 10th regiment, 18th regiment, 64th regiment and 72nd Regiment, who were known to have served in this zone and had fallen martyrs, were buried in Kılıçbayırı Martyrs Memorial. In order to avoid duplication, those whose names are included in the "57th Infantry Regiment Martyrs Memorial" are not included here.
