Audio Guide

At 305 meters above sea level, the hill is the highest hill in the southern part of the Gallipoli Peninsula. This very important piece of land, the highest point of the war, was the main target of both the April 25 landings and the August 6-7 landings. The western slopes of Kocaçimentepe on the sea side were the scene of very bloody and tragic attacks, especially on August 7-8-9.
