Kılıçdere Martyrs Memorial is located just behind the Turkish front line on the ridge extending from Bomba Ridge to Chunuk Bair on the Arıburnu Front. In the cemetery, there are the names of our martyrs who can be identified from our regiments who served in this zone during the Land Battles. The Arıburnu Front witnessed clashes between 25 April 1915, when the Land Battles began, and 20 December 1915, when this front was evacuated. The bloodiest clashes in this zone took place during the Turkish attacks on April 27, May 1 and May 19 following the landing. Our soldiers from the 18th Regiment, the 64th Regiment and the 72nd Regiment, who were known to have served in this zone and fell martyrs, were buried in Kılıçdere Martyrs Memorial, along with the Kılıç Bayırı Martyrs Memorial. In order to avoid duplication, those whose names are included in the "57th Infantry Regiment Martyrs Memorial" are not included here.
