Süngü Bayırı Martyrs Memorial is located on the ridge just behind the Turkish front line on the southern border of the Arıburnu Front. In the cemetery, there are the names of our martyrs who can be identified from our regiments who served in this zone during land battles.

Bloody clashes took place on the Arıburnu Front from April 25, 1915, when the Land Battles began, until December 20, 1915, when the front was evacuated. Our heroic army carried out attacks on April 27, May 1 and May 19 to drive the Allied forces that landed in this zone into the sea. Our  soldiers from the 27th regiment, 72nd regiment, 77th regiment, 48th regiment and 125th regiment, who served in the south of the Arıburnu Front and fell as martyrs, were buried in Süngü Bayırı Martyrs Memorial.
